If you’re from the North Central Florida area, you know there are plenty of homeschoolers around and plenty to do.
Be sure to click on the Field Trip Guide for local places to visit. You’ll also want to surf out to the Florida Parent Educator Association website for a list of support groups in this area.
No matter what group you’re in, though, we suggest you sign up for the free Titus 2 Newsletter which is packed with homeschooling announcements and current events.
Building strong character is a foundational part of what we try to do. Click on the Moms’ Group to find out about our monthly Moms’ Meetings designed to encourage moms in building character in the home. I encourage moms to get a copy of our books
Children of Character I and Children of Character II.
The Ministry List has plenty of family-friendly places to teach children to build life-long habits of serving others in Jesus’ Name. And we recommend Community Christian Community Christian Band because almost all of our children have learned to play an instrument by working with this Christian Band Director.
Do you have a special needs child? Juli Stewart has a web page of information gathered from over 5 years of meetings from a mom support group for homeschooling our children with L.D. (Learning Disabilities). Click on Juli's Moms to visit the web page. You can e-mail her as well at mandjstewart@cox.net.
If you’re looking for a character-focused evaluator, you’ll find them listed on the Evaluator Page.
If you have a high school- or college-age student, you'll want to check out our High School Page. Four of our children who have attended Santa Fe Community College and UF put together a Recommended Professor List for both schools. And our daughter, Kate, who dual-enrolled completely online with SFCC, added her recommendations of online professors.
The Pine Grove Baptist Church Library sponsors an annual Library Circus each summer. Check out the Circus Page for more info.
Alachua County Library has an online book and media reserve. Our family just researches and orders our books online from home, and we’re notified when they’re waiting for pick up at our nearest branch.
Encouragement is only a click or a call away. Happy homeschooling!
