Character Begins At Home...

Due to his busy work schedule, James is no longer able to keep up his page.

JAMES: I was homeschooled Kindergarten through high school.  I had a very good experience and would recommend homeschooling to almost anyone.

My parents allowed me to graduate at 17 so I could get a jump start on my future plans.  Since I was 13 I've known I wanted to be a landlord.  I've always enjoyed fixing things around our house, and had a hard time sitting still for academics.

Because they felt my character was strong, my parents allowed me to excel at the things I enjoyed the most through middle school and part of high school.  Click Here to read a testimony I gave to my mom's Moms' Group about how they accomplished this.

When I graduated from high school, I decided to learn something that would help me attain my goals, so I enrolled in the 4-year plumbing program at Santa Fe Community College.  Because I knew I wanted to be self-employed, my parents gave me some flexibility in high school to study and work on things that would help me in my future.

(Note from Mom & Dad: James became a licensed plumber in 2006, and graduated from SFCC's Program in 2007 (click HERE for pics from James' graduation).  He purchased his first condo in 2007, and passed the Florida Contractors' Exam.  He continues to work full-time for a plumbing company in Gainesville.
